Tokens for Mac

Security

Your Developer Account

Tokens uses your developer account to import apps and promo codes from iTunes Connect.

Your password is stored securely in the local OS X keychain. Requests involving your developer account are strictly between your Mac and Apple's server.

Our server is not involved in any part of these exchanges.

Tokens Server

After generating a promo code, Tokens uploads the following items to our tokn.co server:

  • Promo Code
  • App ID
  • App Type (iOS or Mac)
  • App Name
  • Icon URL
  • Expiry Date
  • Duration of iTunes Connect request

Aside from the final item, which is used for iTunes Connect status monitoring, these fields represent the bare minimum required for Tokens to share and track promo codes.

We Promise To Be Paranoid

We worked hard to build Tokens. A security scandal would ruin its future along with our own credibility as indie developers. We don't want that to happen.
